Before you pick an adapter
Before you pick an adapter
A quick, honest note for Helio Strap and Fitbit Air owners.
01Why adapters made sense
We understand why people started using Whoop adapters with the Helio Strap. When there were very few good bands for it, an adapter was a practical way to get a familiar fit or a style you already liked. It made sense then.
02What has changed
Today there are good bands designed specifically for the Helio Strap and the Fitbit Air. They are shaped around the device itself, its sensors and where it sits on your wrist. No extra parts, and a more secure fit for everyday wear and workouts.
03Whose device is it?
When your Helio Strap sits inside a Whoop band, it is easy to start thinking about the Whoop experience instead of your own device. The band looks familiar, and the device you actually chose starts to feel like something hidden underneath.
We have seen this pattern with customers again and again. They start with an adapter for the Whoop look, and some end up selling the Helio Strap and buying a Whoop. The adapter was not a bad purchase. It just kept them from fully getting into the device they already owned.
04The practical side
An adapter is an extra mechanical part. It can loosen, wear out or break over time, especially if you train hard or sweat a lot. We replace broken adapters, but that setup is out of use until the new one arrives.
05What to expect over time
Our adapters are 3D printed in plastic. On day one, an adapter looks right and holds well. Then daily wear, sweat, body heat and taking the device in and out slowly work on the plastic. After a few days or a few weeks it can start to feel loose, and the clips can lose some grip or change shape slightly.
This is simply how plastic behaves under daily use. It happens with every plastic adapter, not just ours. It is normal wear, not a defect.
So if you buy one, buy it knowing it is a part that wears out. Loosening or a change in shape from regular use is not covered for replacement or refund. Genuine print defects reported within 7 days of delivery are still covered, as always.
If you want something that stays secure for months of workouts, sweat and sleep, a band made for your device is the right choice.

Our recommendation
A year ago, we would have said an adapter. Today, for the best fit and the full experience of your device, we recommend a band designed for it.
Fit & compatibility
One adapter. Most bands.
Our adapter fits most Whoop 4.0 and 5.0 bands, including every band we sell. See it in our videos.
Why it may not fit some bands: Whoop-style bands are made by many brands, and each one makes them a little differently.
- The slot that holds the tracker can be slightly wider, narrower or deeper.
- The clips inside the slot can be a different shape or in a different place.
- Soft materials like knit or silicone can stretch, so the hold may feel loose.

- Watch the fit video first. It shows exactly how the adapter, your device and the band go together.
- It won't feel like a band made for your device. Your device rides a little higher and may have a slight wobble or a small gap at the edges.
- Fit can vary by band. Some bands hold tighter than others. If something feels off, message us before you wear it to a workout.
- It's a short-term fix. The plastic relaxes with use, so a snug fit on day one can turn loose after a few days or weeks. That is normal wear, not a defect. Read more
